Steve Sakoff
After graduating from Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a BBA in Accounting and Finance, Steve went to work for Sears, Roebuck and Co.. During his 20 year career at Sears, the positions he held included: auditor; accountant; accounting manager; financial systems analyst and implementation; and controller. During the mid 1980’s, Steve worked in the Sear’s home office at the Sears Tower in Chicago setting up financial systems for a joint venture between Sears and a Oriental Global Trading company, called Sears World Trade. In the late 1980’s, Steve worked on the initial setup of the Discover Credit Card program which Sears rolled out in Atlanta.
In 1990, Steve joined Crawford & Company, the world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions to insurance companies and self-insured entities, as the Catastrophe Division Financial Manager. In this capacity, he worked on: environmental; natural cause; and man-made catastrophe projects, such as the Exxon Valdez oil spill and Hurricane Andrew. With the need for rapid response and working under difficult circumstances, Steve was responsible for setting up temporary offices and financial systems in order to process client claims and billing and administer adjuster expense and commission compensation.
In 1993, Steve became an owner\partner in Paradime Solutions Inc. He joined his long time friend, Curtis Lau, in this entrepreneurial adventure. This position enabled him to use his experience and expertise in: accounting; financial system; personal management; problem solving; and interpersonal skills developed over a 23 year career.
As a Sage Accpac Authorized Business Partner and Certified Consultant, Steve has had the privilege of helping diverse types of companies implement business management solutions that have propelled these firms forward to continue their success.
Steve specializes in working with both novices and seasoned experts that want to become power users by learning the skills and techniques that enhance their Accpac experience. He feels that regardless of the position, each person needs to find answers about their business operation quickly and effortlessly.
Steve has made Atlanta his home since 1963. He is married to Candy and they have one daughter, Dana. During his Atlanta experience, Steve has been active in: the Atlanta Jaycees; Atlanta United Way; and Atlanta Empty Stocking Fund.
